Introduction to financial management with an emphasis on decision making to maximize shareholder value. Topics will include financial statements analysis and pro forma forecasting, the time value of money, risk and return, stock and bond valuation, the cost of capital, and budgeting for capital decisions.
Prerequisites: Principles of accounting (ACCT 2301 and ACCT 2302 ) and principles of economics (ECON 2301 and ECON 2302 ) or equivalent.
Pre- or Co-requisite: DSCI 3321 or equivalent
