This course focuses on propulsion systems for fixed-wing aircraft, emphasizing air-breathing engines and their performance. Topics include thermodynamic cycles, gas turbine engines (turbojets, turbofans, and turboprops), combustion processes, inlets, nozzles, and afterburners. The course also examines propulsion design, efficiency, and environmental impact.
