This class traces an idea’s shifting significance throughout history. Themes will be studies using philosophic, literary and artistic works. Themes may include soul-brain-machine, sex and love, gender, justice, economy and society, technology, identity and community. Topics vary; Different topics might be counted toward different concentrations for HUMN students. Refer to the concentration areas in the Humanities B.A. section of the catalog.
