Students may minor in Social Work to gain an overview of the discipline and to develop knowledge and skills for working with diverse populations. Completion of coursework in the minor will emphasize social justice, an introduction to professional ethics, and practical interviewing skills needed within entry-level human service agencies. In all, students must complete 15 hours as indicated below. All courses for minor credit must be completed with a grade of “C” or better.
Of special note: SWRK 4318 is offered each fall and must be taken after completing all other coursework for the minor.
