Special Education (SPED) Minor

The 15-hour minor in Special Education (SPED) in the College of Education can provide undergraduates with foundational knowledge about special needs and disabilities as well as teaching theories and practices in addressing the educational needs of learners. This minor may be of special interest to psychology and social work students who may wish to work with children with special learning needs, from early childhood to adulthood, and their families.

Required courses in the minor (15 hours)

SPED 2301  and SPED 4300  are to be taken in sequence, that is first and second, since they serve as prerequisites for the other 3 SPED courses.
