Behavior Analysis Minor

The minor in Behavior Analysis is designed for students who wish to better understand the principles and processes underlying the behavior of humans and non-humans. Coursework covers the history, philosophy, and core concepts of behavior analysis, including operant and respondent conditioning, functional assessment, and evidence-based behavioral interventions. Students gain valuable hands-on experience through supervised fieldwork opportunities, such as through the Center for Autism and Developmental Disabilities. This minor complements a variety of majors, such as psychology, education, and social work, and prepares students for graduate study in behavior analysis.

A minor in Behavior Analysis will require a student to take 15 hours of courses from the Behavior Analysis and Psychology programs. The specific courses for the Behavior Analysis minor are listed below.

Students must earn a grade of “B-” or better in the following courses to be eligible to receive the minor. For more information, contact Dr. Jennifer N. Fritz, BCBA-D, LBA-TX, at FritzJ@uhcl.edu.
