The Master of Science in Management Information Systems prepares advanced technology leaders to design, manage, and optimize the data driven systems that support modern organizations. The graduate coursework blends business strategy with advanced information systems training in areas such as enterprise architecture, data governance, cloud computing, machine learning applications, and IT project leadership. The Management Information Systems major leads to a Master of Science degree. The degree requires a minimum of 30 credit hours, including eight required courses (24 hours) and two elective courses (6 hours). Depending on a student’s academic background, one additional foundation course (3 hours) may be required.
Master of Science in Management Information Systems applicants meeting all the following criteria will qualify for the waiver of the six hours of elective requirements, resulting in a 24-hour program:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Information Systems, Computer Science or a related field from an accredited U.S. institution.
2. This bachelor’s degree must have been earned within the last 5 years and with a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or greater.
