The admission requirements for the certificate program are as follows:
Bachelor's degree in science, engineering, or other disciplines related to Engineering Management. If applicants have a bachelor's degree from other disciplines, then, at least one year of work experience in a technical field is required.
GRE is not required for the certificate. Any non-degree-seeking student or UHCL student can take the certificate courses. If the student wants to obtain the certificate, they must apply for the certificate separately either before or after taking the courses, and the courses will be transferred. A student pursuing the certificate could transfer the certificate courses to the EMGT MS degree program as well.
To earn the certificate, the three-course set below must be completed within a four-year time limit with an overall GPA of 3.0 or above (minimum B or above for each course). No transferred course will be accepted. Successfully completed courses will be counted toward the EMGT MS degree once students are accepted into the degree-seeking program.
