Youth and Police Studies Minor

The Youth and Police Studies minor from UHCL begins with the premise that both youth culture and police culture exist in American society. By studying topics such as Developmental Theory/Teen Brain and Implicit Bias, and by participating in experiential learning with the Teen and Police Service Academy (TAPS) www.tapsacademy.org, students learn to bridge the social distance between American youth and law enforcement. The minor requires five courses.
