The minor in network security offers computing and engineering students a concentration of courses toward security on specific component of computer and information systems, the networks, which constitutes the underlying infrastructure of all modern-day computing systems. This minor provides more in-depth study of technical courses related to the important field of Network Security. The minor’s primary target includes students majoring in computing-related disciplines. Students majoring in non-computing disciplines may need to take additional pre-requisite courses in order to be ready to pursue this minor; alternatively, they may pursue a minor in Cybersecurity.
