PSYC 7936 - Supervision and Clinical PracticeCredit Hours: 3 Lecture: 0 Lab: 0
Fee Type: Special Fee ($): 140 Introduction (first semester) and advanced (second semester) training in concepts, processes, and styles of supervision. The course also offers students the opportunity to gain experience in providing supervision to other clinical and school psychology students in training. The course also provides students with the knowledge and skills necessary to engage in consultation, negotiation/mediation, and systems-level intervention in mental health and education settings. The course covers theories and practices of consultation and supervision, including legal and ethical issues. Course must be repeated in a second semester for a total of 6 hours.
Prerequisites: Admission to the Health Service Psychology program.
