Calculus-based introductory physics course. Fundamentals of linear and rotational kinematics and dynamics, Newton’s laws, work, energy conservation, gravitation, wave mechanics, sound, fluid mechanics, heat and thermodynamics. Introduction to data acquisition and analysis in physics. Experiments conducted on motion, kinematics, wave mechanics, sound and heat. Topics also to include statistical methods, graphing, error analysis, computer techniques and reporting results. Calculus II recommended as a corequisite.
 

Prerequisites: MATH 2413 (Calculus I)
