Students desiring to study in the Mathematics and Statistics department may choose from the undergraduate plans below. Applicants should consult the director of the program for additional information.
UHCL Mathematics and Department Placement and Testing Policy
All students enrolling in MATH 2412 (Pre-Calculus) or MATH 2413 (Calculus I) need at the date of registration:
- An acceptable score on the UHCL Mathematics Placement Exam or
- Evidence of successful completion of one of the following:
- The prerequisite university mathematics course.
- The Advanced Placement Exam equivalent to the prerequisite university mathematics course.
- The College Level Examination Program (CLEP) Exam equivalent to the prerequisite university mathematics course.
Default minimum grade requirement of any listed prerequisite course is “C-” for all MATH courses.
The following courses as listed in pairs are cross-linked. Students cannot take both courses if they are cross-linked.
