The Minor in Engineering Management (EMGT) will meet the requirements of industry by providing undergraduate engineering students an understanding on complex engineering projects. Students completing this minor will have an understanding of multidisciplinary engineering projects.
This Minor provides students a basic understanding of project management, operations management, managing technical organizations, team-building, decision-making, and quality management within any engineering and science disciplines. Students can use this knowledge and apply the skills for deeper understanding of business practices, as well as product design and process development.
All courses for the minor curriculum must be completed with a grade of “C” or above. Students must follow one of the plans below, depending on their declared major.

The EMGT Minor Degree Plans range from 15 hrs to 17 hrs.

•EMGT 4334 Engineering Optimization and Decision-Making (3 hours)
Two sample plans are provided for Mechanical Engineering and Computer Engineering Undergraduate Students. A general degree plan is also provided for undergraduate students in any other program or college.
